Terms & Conditions | Mann General Contractors Auckland

These terms apply to all quotes, estimates and building work provided by Mann General Contractors Ltd ("Mann GC", "we", "us"). By accepting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotes & Estimates

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotes are based on the information available at the time of the site visit. Estimates are indicative only and the final price may vary based on actual site conditions.

2. Variations

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing before work proceeds. Variations may affect the price and timeline, and will be priced and agreed with you before being carried out.

3. Payment

A deposit may be required before work commences, as set out in your quote.
Progress payments may apply for larger projects and will be outlined in your quote.
Final payment is due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Materials remain the property of Mann GC until paid for in full.

4. Site Access & Conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access to the site during agreed working hours. Unless included in the quote, you are responsible for identifying underground services, boundary locations and obtaining any consents relating to your property. Unforeseen site conditions (such as rock, unstable ground, buried services or asbestos) may result in a variation.

5. Timelines

Timeframes are given in good faith. Delays caused by weather, material availability, consent processing, variations or circumstances beyond our control may extend the completion date. We will keep you informed of any changes.

6. Warranties

Our workmanship is guaranteed in accordance with the implied warranties under the Building Act 2004, which apply to all residential building work in New Zealand. Materials are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

7. Health & Safety

We operate in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. For your safety, the work area is a construction site while work is in progress. Please keep children and pets clear of the work area.

8. Cancellation

If you cancel after work has been scheduled, you may be liable for costs already incurred, including materials ordered and time committed. We will always work with you to minimise these costs.

9. Disputes

If you have a concern about our work, contact us first at Info@manngc.co.nz or 020 4080 7329 and we will work to resolve it promptly. Both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith before pursuing other remedies.
